Neopets teamed with Bubble Yum in 2002 to run a promotion on the gum. 2 Grand Prize winners got a "trip to Neopia" (a tour of Neopets headquarters in Glendale, California) 1000 first prize winners got a Bubble Yum prize pack (containing a t-shirt, cap, lip-gloss, key chain, and Virtual Prize Code) and thousands of others received Virtual Prize Codes. In total fourteen million game pieces were distributed.
